AGM

Thankyou to everyone who attended the AGM of Medina Marching Band,
All trustee's agreed to stay on for a further term,
The serving committee were given 100% backing from the floor for work carried out in past year,
President, Maurice Keat , and Patron Barbra Foster were thanked for their contributions towards the band and both parties wish to carry on their work for a further term,
Present committee stood down and Maurice took control of meeting , he asked for any intrested parties or nominees for the vacant post, but the members on the floor wished and voted back in the out going committee with 100% backing , so it was buisness resumed as the the last 10 years in which this committee has represented the band an achievement in its self ,when you hear so many organisation struggling to find volunteers, ( words used on the night "if its not broken ,don't fix it "),

Accounts signed off,
A.O.B. Items were discussed and follow ups to be disscussed with section leaders, and those who issue 's concern. But a positive discussion by all .
meeting closed 8.30.

The committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for voting us in for another 12 months so we can serve you and provide the service's you have come to enjoy at Medina, Two things that was made quite clear at the meeting , 1. The committee appreciates the work of all the volunteers connected to the band including ALL players, without you all things would not run so smoothly or the band would not look so smart,
2. The band is open to all , past ,present, those abroad, in Uni, living on mainland , guests from other bands ,may this band grow for its family and friendly approach it has enjoyed for so many years,and see many more youngsters fulfill their dreams of becoming bandsmen and bands women in armed forces bands , famous orchestra's, or just playing in Medina for personal achievement,

.....So where was the AGM held? As far as I can see (and correct me if I'm wrong) a venue was not posted on this site! Therefore some/many members were not able to attend?

held at usual place, carisbrooke church hall.,letters have been going out at band practice for past 5 weeks, and every band practice ive mentioned it,

The bands AGM will be held on Friday March 5th venue and times to be confirmed.
